FAB26 Boston

Empowering Every Maker

Published on July 17th, 2026

Building on our successful collaboration as a Gold Partner at FAB25, xTool is proud to return to FAB26 as a Diamond Partner. Last year, we focused on expanding access to hands-on learning. This year, we are taking our commitment even further—deepening our partnership with the global Fab Lab community through advanced hands-on experiences, impactful community initiatives, and visionary technological leadership.

Beyond our dynamic interactive booth, xTool is hosting 11 hands-on workshops designed to equip makers, educators, and innovators with versatile digital fabrication tools—spanning desktop laser technology to multi-ink printing innovations like the world’s first 4-in-1 O1 Omni Printer.

Keynote Highlight: From Prototyping to Distributed Production

A cornerstone of our presence at FAB26 is the featured presentation by Stein, US General Manager of xTool, titled "From Prototyping to Distributed Production."

Stein highlights how desktop digital fabrication is shifting the global manufacturing landscape from centralized scale to distributed agility. By delivering industrial-grade precision and multi-material capabilities directly to local makerspaces, schools, and small businesses, xTool aims to lower the barrier between creative ideas and finished products. "Creation is a fundamental human instinct," Stein emphasizes. "Our job is to remove the friction between a spark in your mind and a finished object in your hands."

Sustaining Community Impact: 1% Maker Program

True innovation must go hand-in-hand with accessibility. Through 1% for the Makers Program, xTool pledges 1% of its annual net profit in the form of fabrication tools and equipment to support schools, non-profits, and Fab Labs worldwide. Having already donated over $860,000 in equipment to 100+ global partners—alongside initiatives like the 1% Maker Challenge in partnership with the MIT Center for Bits and Atoms (CBA)—xTool remains committed to democratizing STEAM education and empowering grassroots creators globally.

Looking Ahead: MIT Tech Talk in October

Our commitment to fostering the future of digital fabrication extends beyond the event floor. We are excited to announce an upcoming MIT Tech Talk in early October, where xTool leadership and technical experts will dive deeper into advanced hardware breakthroughs, multi-material fabrication, and the expanding ecosystem of local production.
