Here are all the venues for the event! This year, we will inhabit the new Fab Hub Kendall and have a true campus experience at MIT, with the Kresge Auditorium, the MIT Media Lab, and other incredible spaces as our base for the week.

Kresge Auditorium (MIT Building W16), an architectural landmark designed by renowned Finnish-American architect Eero Saarinen, is one of MIT’s most iconic gathering spaces. Completed in 1955, its sweeping dome and warm, open interior were created to inspire creativity, community, and the exchange of ideas. During FAB26, this historic venue will serve as a vibrant home for key moments, bringing participants together at the heart of MIT’s campus.

Designed by I.M. Pei & Partners, the Wiesner Building (E-15 Building) is a striking, modern space known for its “boxes within boxes” architecture. Home to the Center for Bits and Atoms at MIT (Neil Gershenfeld’s Lab), ACT, and CMS, E15 brings together creativity, research, and cutting-edge technology under one roof, making it an inspiring place for FAB26 participants to experience.

Next to the Wiesner Building, the E14 Media Lab expansion brings even more creative energy to the MIT campus. Designed by Pritzker Prize–winning architect Fumihiko Maki, the building’s transparent, light-filled design offers long sight-lines that make research visible and invite spontaneous collaboration. E14 also hosts a creative and vibrant crossroads where art, science, and innovation meet. The perfect space for FAB26!

The MIT Museum is designed to “turn MIT inside out” by opening the university’s research, creativity, and discoveries to the world. It showcases the work happening across MIT in ways that are engaging, accessible, and inspiring for all ages, making it a perfect spot for FAB26 participants to experience the spirit of innovation that defines Cambridge and MIT.

Located in the heart of Kendall Square — one of the most innovative neighborhoods in the world — Fab Hub Kendall is the new home of the Fab Foundation and a dynamic center for making, learning, and collaboration. Designed as an open, flexible space equipped with digital fabrication tools, classrooms, and community areas, the Hub reflects the future of hands-on innovation. During FAB26, it will serve as an energetic gathering point where participants can prototype ideas, join workshops, meet global makers, and experience the next chapter of the Fab Lab movement right at its source.
