What is FAB26?
FAB26 is the 22nd edition of the annual Fab Lab Conference & Symposium—an immersive technosocial innovation conference. Spanning six days, the program thoughtfully balances practical and theoretical content for a diverse group of individuals united by a passion for digital fabrication, technology, and innovation.
After a 10-year world tour, the event returns to Boston in July 2026 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Fab Lab movement.
25th Fab Lab Anniversary
As we celebrate a quarter century of Fab Labs, FAB26 returns to where it all started—MIT, in the heart of Kendall Square—to explore the evolution and the potential of the digital fabrication ecosystem.
This is an opportunity to reflect on 25 years of impact while also reimagining the future. Together, we’ll share lessons learned, highlight transformative innovations, and prototype new solutions for a generation of purpose-driven, accessible, and inclusive communities.

Reimagine the Future
The foundations set 25 years ago now form the pillars for the future. The Fab Lab Network has proven itself to be a resilient ecosystem. Over time and across continents and cultures, it has grown organically, continually evolving and adapting.
As we enter a new stage, it’s time to reimagine the future. By evaluating the past and reflecting on the present, we gain the perspective needed to envision what comes next.

The event offers diverse formats to ensure everyone stays engaged, enjoys a seamless flow, and has plenty to explore.
