Volunteer Open Call
GUIDELINES
1. Read the basic overview of the categories in which you can participate.
- This will help you better understand the scope of each category and decide on the best option for you to apply.
2. Categories to choose from:
- Registration: Support attendee check-in, badge distribution, guest support, and wayfinding throughout the conference venues.
- Material Shop: Assist with material preparation and distribution for workshops, inventory organization, and participant support across FAB26 activities.
- AV / Technical Support: Help manage microphones, presentations, projectors, live streams, and general technical troubleshooting during sessions.
- Catering: Support lunch, receptions, catering flow, and hospitality coordination across conference venues.
- Workshops: Assist workshop facilitators with room setup, materials preparation, participant support, and cleanup between sessions.
- Logistics: Help with operational coordination between venues and directly support the event coordinators.
- Festival Support: Support the FAB Festival activities, public engagement experiences, outdoor activities, and community programming happening Saturday, August 1.
- Symposium: Assist with speaker coordination, session timing, audience support, and room management during symposium talks and presentations.
- Pre-Production: Support the setup and build-out of FAB26 before the conference officially begins, including signage installation, room setup, materials organization, and operational preparation.
- Media and Content: Help document FAB26 through photography, video, social media, and storytelling content. Volunteers may support morning or afternoon shifts throughout the week while helping capture the energy and experiences of the conference.
